Mac's already home!

After all that hoopla, my friend couldn't wait any longer and brought Mac home a little earlier than decided. Here are some pictures of Mac. He looks dispirited and is not in any mood to be photographed. Probably the change of address has left him a little wary. Hope we will have more interesting snaps once Mac gets back to his lively self.

Apparently he's already found a friend in Cooper, a 3 month old St. Bernard in the neighbourhood. That is Cooper below. Is that a dog or a ball of fur?

Hi minu…

I fully endorse your friend’s view that kids are easier to handle than puppies. And my comment comes out of experience. I have two dogs at home. “Kittu”, a Pomeranian and “Pakru”, a pure naadan. After his retirement, it’s my dad who is in charge of the Dogs Department. Having handled scores of students as a Headmaster of a school for more than half his career, he finds it easy to manage the two canines. But the trouble arises when we have to leave the dogs back at home and leave station. My dad these days refuses to travel with family since there is no one to take care of his “wards”! Kids you can carry with U. And transportation is free!! But what do u do with these doggies. My dad had no other option but to travel in the last one month or so (thankfully, he thought that it was worth taking an exception for marrying off his only daughter!). But even with all the trouble, they become an integral part of the family. Hope your friend has a nice time parenting small Mac.

Kittu and Pakru! Interesting! One of my friend's folks have 2 dogs and a cat as pets. So whenever they visit him in Bangalore, they drive down with the pets. I remember where we lived earlier, there was an old couple who had a dog. Whenever they travelled to Calcutta, they would take him also by train. Of course it is not easy and has lot of rules attached to it. For some, these animals mean more than their children :) and they go out of their way.

Mac is giving Chandana a tough time. He poops and pees at the right place but bites anything and everything in the vicinity including her.

What pretty cuties. No wonder my sister is getting a pair of them, one male and the other female from Canada.
